The Way of St.James to Santiago de Compostela(Camino de Santiago) in Spain, and the Kumano Kodo to Kumano, are both pilgrimage
routes registered as UNESCO World Heritage, and the "Dual Pilgrim" program started from 2015.
A "Dual Pilgrim" is someone who has walked both the Kumano Kodo and the Way of St.James.
To receive the Dual Pilgrim status, pilgrims must complete one of the options for the Way of St. James, and one of the options for
the Kumano Kodo, and over 1,000 peoples has received the Dual Pilgrim status at this moment.
The Dual Pilgrim Credential is a type of passport for pilgrims.
It is used to collect stamps along the trail as a record of the walk.
There are two sides, one for the Kumano Kodo and one for the Way of St. James.
Dual Pilgrims receive a limited edition "Dual Pilgrim" pin badge and are featured on the Dual Pilgrim page of
spiritual-pilgrimages.com.
This time I completed Kumano Kodo Nakahechi pilgrimage route, and I'm going to walk the Way of St.James in this Sep!
I have visited Santiago de Compostela for my business trip before, but have not walked the Camino yet, I am so
exciting! 😉

「熊野古道」と、スペインの「サンティアゴ・デ・コンポステーラの巡礼道」は、共に古から続く歴史を有する、道の世界遺産。
今回の熊野古道中辺路ウォークでは、その２つの巡礼道を歩く方のための「共通巡礼手帳」を持って、スタンプを集めました。
熊野本宮大社御創建2050年を記念して、熊野本宮大社と旧社地・大斎原では、金色のスタンプが用意されていましたよ♪
2015年から配布が始まった、この共通巡礼手帳。
すでに、国内外の1000人を超える方々が共通巡礼を達成されており、決められたルートでスタンプを集めて共通巡礼を達成した方には記念ピンバッジが進呈され、「Dual Pilgrim」のHPに登録内容が掲載されます！
私も、熊野古道中辺路を達成したこの共通巡礼手帳を握りしめて、9月にサンティアゴ・デ・コンポステーラの巡礼道を歩きに行ってきます。
サンティアゴ・デ・コンポステーラや大聖堂は以前出張で訪れたのですが、ほぼ会議場に缶詰状態で、歩く時間が取れないまま泣く泣く帰国したため、今回は念願の巡礼の旅です。
歩く区間は、サリアからサンティアゴ・デ・コンポステーラまでの約100km。
完歩できるかどうか少し心配ですが、今からトレーニングに励みます！
巡礼道沿いの宿泊施設視察も楽しみです(*^^*)
