In Summer in Japan, we have some unique customs.
One of them is “Uchimizu”, which is sprinkling water over the roads or the entrance, to lower the temperature.
And we set “Furin”, kind of a small wind bell.
It is a seasonal item, and it catches the breeze and makes the bell tinkle, bringing on a feeling of coolness in the hot Japanese Summer. 🙂
