"Tanabe Festival" will take place on July.24th, 25th at World Heritage “Tokei-jinja shrine” in Tanabe City, just next to Shirahama.
Tanabe festival has more than 450 year's history.
During the festival, you can enjoy beautiful “Kasahoko" parade and the traditional festival "Matsuri bayashi" music, and more special ceremonies in the town.

今年も、田辺祭の季節がやってきました！
田辺祭は、白浜の隣町・田辺市にある世界遺産・闘鶏神社の例祭で、毎年７月２４日・２５日に行われています。
４５０年余の歴史と伝統をもち、県無形民俗文化財にも指定されている古式ゆかしいお祭り…期間中は、旧城下の各商人町から「お笠」、京都の祇園祭のような笠鉾が練り歩き、どこからともなく祭囃子が聞こえてきて、街中がうきうきするような賑やかさです♪
流鏑馬式や暁の祭典など、見どころたくさんの雅なお祭りですが、なかでも、宵宮（７月２４日）の会津橋曳き揃えは、笠鉾の灯が川面に映りこむ情景が大変幻想的で美しく、夏の風物詩となっています。ぜひお越しください。
