From tomorrow on, I will depart for the walking trip along Camino de Santiago in Spain with Ms.Reiko Takamori, an author of "Camino
de Kumano-The Pilgrims' Way to Kumano Sanzan, the Spiritual Origins of Japan" and "Camino de Santiago-The Pilgrims' Way to Santiago de Compostela".
Ms.Takamori, and Ms.Miwako, a saxophonist and one of the member of the walking trip had visited Konichi-an, and we had a final
meeting for the trip to Camino de Santiago.
We will walk around 100km with wearing “Minachi-Gasa”, a headpiece made with cypress in Kumano region.
In ancient times, many people from all levels of society, including retired emperors and aristocrats, have made the arduous
pilgrimage to Kumano with wearing this Minachi-Gasa.
Camino de Santiago and the Kumano Kodo are the only two pilgrimage routes registered as UNESCO World Heritage, and over 1,000
people have done both pilgrimage routes and were registered as "Dual Pilgrim".
When we walking Camino, hopefully we can promote Kumano Kodo and "Dual Pilgrim" by wearing Minachi-Gasa.
From tomorrow on, ZEN Guesthouse Konichi-an will be closed till Oct.2nd(Tue),2018.

いよいよ明日より、スペインはサンティアゴ巡礼の旅へと出発します。
先日は東京から、巡礼の旅のお供をさせていただく『スペインサンティアゴ巡礼の道』著者の高森玲子さんと、熊野古道女子部メンバーでサックス奏者のMiwakoさんが好日庵へお越しいただき、旅の最終打ち合わせを行いました。
今回好日庵オーナーは、熊野古道女子部のサンティアゴ巡礼の旅の、女子サポーターとして参加します。
荷物は準備完了！そして、忘れてはいけない「皆地笠（みなちがさ）」も。
皆地笠は、熊野詣での貴族や庶民に広く愛用されたもので、紀州の樹齢６０年以上の良質の檜材を使用し、雨が降ると目が詰まって雨を防ぎ、晴れると通気性がよくなるという、大変機能的な笠です。使い込むほどに艶がでて、飴色に変化していくのも魅力です。
現在、この皆地笠を制作されている職人さんはただひとり…大変貴重な民芸品となっています。
今回の旅では、熊野古道女子部・サポーターともに全員が、熊野詣でを象徴する皆地笠を被って、サンティアゴ巡礼の道約100kmを歩きます。
度重なる台風の被害は受けましたが、熊野古道中辺路がやっと迂回路で繋がり、営業を休止していた施設も順次復旧している今、しっかりと「蘇りの地・熊野」をPRしてきます！
なお、ZENゲストハウス好日庵は、本日2018年9月18日（火）より2018年10月2日（火）まで臨時休館とさせていただきます。
