There was a fine crop of Ume this year, and the harvest time was earlier than usual! The first half term of “Ume” Picking & Making “Umeshu(Ume liquor)” Experience took place from June.1st to 11th, but for the 2nd half term from June.14th to 24th, we are forced to cancel “Ume” Picking Experience due to the harvest situation. Today, on June.10th(Sun), Ms.U-yunte’s Incense Making Experience took place in ZEN Guesthouse Konichi-an. This time, a couple, children, and old friends of mine joined us too, and we really enjoyed the experience and conversation! The first “Ume” Picking & Making “Umeshu(Ume liquor)” Experience took place in ZEN Guesthouse Konichi-an yesterday. It was sprinkling outside, but the first guest was well up for the whole process of the traditional "Ume" Japanese apricot preparation, including picking ripe Ume with the rain gear on. It was very hot like a summer days today...and our 100% organic "Ume" Japanese apricot are getting ripe and dropping one after another every day!
