Today's Konichi-an, the Tatami master has spread the Tatami mattresses in the dining room. ZEN Guesthouse Konichi-an got a permission for the hotel and restaurant business by the local government! Today's Konichi-an. 4 officers from the local fire department came to Konichi-an, and they checked all over the house, including guest rooms, my office, and this dining room. Painting time! This room used to be a western style study room for my grandfather, now it's under renovation into a Japanese style guest room. I ordered beautiful ceiling boards made from local cedar woods, and painted them with Japanese traditional natural dyes called "Kakishibu" and "Bengara".
