About the Facilities
Shared Living Room
Floored with tatami mats, the living room will make you want to lie down and relax.
This room is for all guests to be used freely.
Here you will find free drinks, a shared refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and an electric kettle.
Enjoy some reading, chat with your fellow guests, or simply take it easy.
Old Japanese homes like our guesthouse have low ceilings. While this creates a cozy atmosphere, taller guests may need to watch their heads!
Engawa and Japanese-style Garden
The engawa (garden-side veranda) overlooks the Japanese-style garden.
We consider this the best seat in the house, a sunny place where you can relax and enjoy the season.
There's a mini-library here, so you can read a book while lounging by the garden.
Why not treat yourself to an "engawa café" with a free drink?
At night, all you need to do is look up at the sky filled with stars.
Relax and be lazy, indulge yourself.
Shower, Toilets, and Washbasins
There are two washbasins, two bidet toilets, and one shower stall.
In one room, there’s a toilet and a washbasin. In the adjoining room, there’s a shower stall, toilet, and a washbasin. Therefore, even if one guest is using the shower, another guest can still
access both a toilet and a washbasin. Also, because we have installed our washbasins a bit higher at a universal design height, we have provided a footstool for smaller children.
We have provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and cotton swabs.
The hair dryer can be used in the make-up corner outside of the shower room.
These are shared facilities so please be considerate of the other guests.

We will provide you with the ID and password when you check-in.
Free Drinks
Drinks include: Coffee, Cafe Latte, and seasonal Japanese tea. Please help yourself.

Mini-Library
There's a mini-library at the engawa (garden-side veranda).
Printed materials (such as maps, pamphlets and leaflets) without a Konichi-an logo sticker are free to take.
Other materials (such as books and materials) with a Konichi-an logo sticker belong to
the guesthouse, and we ask that you please leave them behind.
Rental Tote Bag
Have you ever thought that you were sick and tired about the "big bag" during your trip, but just wanted to take a wallet or mobile phone when you
went out from your accommodation?
Let us take a load off your back!
There is a “mini” rental tote bag, which you will find located in your room.
Feel free to take it with you when you go out for a stroll, dinner, or shopping during your stay with us.
It also makes a great beach bag.
At the end of your stay, we ask that you please leave the tote bag at the guesthouse.
Iron
For guests who would like to use an iron and/or ironing board, please ask at the front desk.
Free Luggage Storage on Check-in and Check-out Days
We will gladly store your luggage on the day you are scheduled to check-in and/or check-out.
* Because our storage space is limited, if it is not your scheduled check-in or check-out day, we cannot store your luggage. If this is the case,
you can use the coin lockers at JR Shirahama Station. As an additional option, we can arrange for your luggage to be shipped between our guesthouse and your next destination (please refer to
"Luggage Shuttle Service and Delivery" as listed below in the "Paid Services" section).

Toothbrushes
At the front desk, toothbrush kits (toothpaste included) are available for purchase (Price: 50 yen per set).
Towels
At the front desk, face and bath towels are available for rent (Price: 100 yen per towel).
Laundry
For guests who would like to do laundry, there is a shared washing machine available for use. Please ask at the front desk.
Hours: 8:00 – 10:00, 16:00 – 19:00
(Price: 250 yen for one cycle with detergent included)
Luggage Shuttle Service and Delivery
Especially convenient for guests who will trek the Kumano Kodo, we can arrange for your luggage to be shipped between our guesthouse and your next
destination.
